Wilcoxson Grabs First Win

Aug 2, 2015

Anna Wilcoxson of South Bend, Ind. posted a two day total of 3-under-par, 141 at the IWGA Indiana Golf Championship to claim her first ever IWGA title. Wilcoxson added a 2-over-par, 74 to yesterday's tremendous 67 at Otter Creek GC for a two shot victory over Brooke Beegle of Fishers.

“This honestly means the world to me,” Wilcoxson said.  “There are amazing people out here so this feels like quite the accomplishment.  I can’t believe everything worked out the way it did.”

Wilcoxson, a rising junior at Western Michigan University, says this win gives her a lot of confidence heading into her college golf season.

“Shooting 67 yesterday was a big confidence boost and  really helped me to seal the deal today,” Wilcoxson said.  "Now I really know that I can actually play at this level and it feels great.”
