Nancy Fitzgerald of Carmel was the only Indiana player to qualify for match play at the US Women’s Senior Amateur Championship Oct. 9-14 at Fiddlesticks CC in Florida. She carded 84-79=163 to advance, but was defeated 3 & 1 by Carolyn Creekmore of Dallas, Tex., in the first match.
Rae Higdon of Boonville also qualified for the championship and finished T122 with 89-92=181.
