The Senior Amateur at Hillview Country Club has concluded with Dyer’s Terry Werner defeating Bob Jacobs of Valparaiso to secure his fifth Indiana Senior State Amateur title! Werner finished 5-under (69,70) over the two day tournament and finished three strokes ahead of Jacobs.
Werner’s consistent playing was visible throughout the entirety of the final round where he only faced one bogey throughout both rounds. He finished out the first round with birdies on holes 2, 7, 8, and 17, starting off the final round strong with an eagle on the second hole and a birdie on ten.
In the Super Senior division, David Moore came out victorious finishing +5 (75,74) alongside Steve Norris, who he eventually beat in a playoff. The playoff went two holes with Moore knocking Norris out for the title.
