Four-time Indiana Women’s Amateur Champion Julia Potter will take a five-shot lead into the final round at Rock Hollow GC as she looks to claim her fifth title in the event. Potter fired a second round 3-over-par 75 in windy conditions and stands 2-under-par for the tournament. Potter overcame a string of three consecutive bogeys on the front nine, but steadied to play her final 11 holes at even-par.
Potter’s nearest competitor is Rachel Johnson at 3-over-par after carding the low round of the second day with an even-par 72. Lauren Tibbets and Emma Fisher are tied for third at 5-over-par.
Potter won the State Am in 2007, 2008, 2014 and 2015 along with wins in the USGA Mid-Amateur Championship in 2013 and 2016.
