Matches are Set at Otter Creek

The IGA, IGA Senior and IGA Super-Senior Match Play Championships began today at Otter Creek GC in Columbus.  Players participated in an 18-hole stroke play qualifier in attempts to make match play, which begins tomorrow morning.

In the IGA Division, defending champion Zach Carrabine, Bargersville, automatically grabbed the number one seed due to last year’s win. Carrabine will face JP Beckley, Indianapolis.

Keegan Bronnenberg, Muncie, posted the low score today among the IGA Division, posting a 5-under-par, 67. Bronnenberg, the number two seed, plays Tyler Davis, Fishers, during tomorrow's match.

​32 players qualified for the IGA match play portion of competition.  Tee times begin tomorrow morning at 9:36 a.m.

In the Senior Division, defending champion Chuck Wenning, Franklin, also automatically obtained the number one seed. He will face Peter Swanson, Noblesville, who carded a 2-over-par, 74 this morning.  Swanson qualified for match play after defeating Kent Frandsen, Lebanon, in a playoff.

Terry Werner, Dyer, was the medalist among the seniors after posting an impressive 6-under-par, 66.  Werner grabbed the number two seed heading into match play.  He plays Dave Vlasic, Valparaiso, tomorrow.

16 players qualified for the IGA Senior match play portion of competition.  Tee times begin tomorrow morning at 8:32 a.m. 

In the Super-Senior Division (players 65+), Jerry Crouch, Indianapolis, grabbed the number one seed after firing a 1-under-par, 71.  Crouch faces Jerry Caplinger, Shelbyville, who carded a 75 this morning.

Eight players qualified for the IGA Super-Senior match play portion of competition.   Tee times begin tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m.
