Indiana PGA Names Keith Clark 2018 Golf Professional of the Year

Mar 1, 2018

On Monday, February 26th, Keith Clark of Hillcrest Country Club in Indianapolis, was recognized as the 2018 Indiana PGA Golf Professional of the Year in front of his fellow PGA Members at the Annual Indiana PGA Spring Business Meeting.  As one of the highest honors a PGA Professional can achieve, the Golf Professional of the Year award winners must possess outstanding qualities of leadership, strong moral character and a substantial record of service to the Section and the game of golf – and Keith Clark certainly possesses all of those outstanding qualities.

As Head Golf Professional at Hillcrest CC, Clark serves as a daily mentor to his staff, while also going above and beyond to serve his membership.   Clark is also a member of the Indiana Section Board of Directors – formerly serving as President in ’15 and ’16, and has served on both the Indiana Golf Foundation and IGA-PGA Boards of Directors.

In addition to his board service, Clark also spends a significant amount of time volunteering.  He has taken particular interest in volunteering with Indiana PGA Charities Day, PGA HOPE, Drive Chip and Putt and The First Tee of Indiana, not to mention his numerous volunteer efforts outside the game of golf.

In addition to this award, all of our 2018 Special Award winners were also recognized.  Those winners included: Kyle Lundy, Horton Smith Award winner, Todd Firestone, Bill Strausbaugh Award winner, T.J. Yeaton, Teacher of the Year, Todd Smith, Youth Player Development, Jeff Smith, Player Development, Eric Huther, Assistant of the Year, Dan Ross, Merchandiser of the Year-Public, Tom Rose, Merchandiser of the Year-Private, and Chad Hutsell, Merchandiser of the Year-Resort.
