Dave Vlasic and Cortie Wilson delivered in their first event
of the season, the IGA Senior Team Championship at Maple Creek CC in
Indianapolis. Despite windy conditions,
Vlasic and Wilson were able to card a bogey-free round of 68 today.
“We hammed and egged it all day,” said Vlasic of Valparaiso,
Ind. “We were never out of a hole and we
never made a bogey.”
Vlasic and Wilson had four best ball birdies today coming on
the par-4, 4th, the par-3, 8th, the par-5, 9th,
and the par-5, 13th.
“We enjoyed ourselves today,” Vlasic said. “This is a fun event and you get to play with
your buddy. It’s a low stress
tournament.”
Jerry Caplinger and Steve Baker finished alone in second
today, after posting a 1-under-par 71.
