Three Atop Leaderboard After Day One of State Open

The first round of the 102nd Indiana Open Championship at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex finished at dark with three players atop the leaderboard. Jake Brown and Michael VanDeventer played in the morning wave of tee times, both posting rounds of 4-under-par 67 on the par-71 Ackerman-Allen Course layout. In the afternoon wave, 2011 Indiana Open Champion Brian Maurer matched the low rounds.
 
Cole Bradley is a shot back of the leaders at 3-under, followed by Nick Bienz, Tucker Guisewite, Tyler White and Scott Pieri at 2-under. In total 13 players broke par in round one. The 159-player field will play round two on the Kampen Course before the field is cut to the low 70 players and ties.
