The PGA of America’s Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program, marking
its 25th anniversary, set a record in overall applicants. A record 747
applications were received this year, with scholarships awarded to 138 students
totaling $300,000.
Founded in 1986, the PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program has
awarded $4.5 million to 2,260 students. The program encourages and promotes the
attainment of higher education goals for children and grandchildren of PGA
members.
Funding for these scholarships is made possible through voluntary
contributions to the PGA Financial Assistance Fund (a tax deductible 501(c)3
fund) from PGA members and other donors.
