Carmel, Ind. – “I grew up in Indiana and it would mean a ton to win,” said Sean Rowen after posting a 4-under par 68 today at the Indiana Amateur Championship at Prairie View Golf Club.
“I felt optimistic coming into the tournament,” said Rowen. “In order to maintain my score, I knew I had to putt well. I didn’t make a lot of putts early, but I had a couple birdies in the middle of the round and an eagle on 13.”
Being at the top of the leader board is nothing new for Rowen, winning the Indianapolis Amateur last August, followed by the Mid Amateur Championship a few days later, and the Tournament of Champions this May.
With a field composed of many strong college players, “This is the one you want to win,” said Rowen
