Nyah Singh, Indiana Golf PGA WORKS Fellow

Nyah Singh graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Wellness and Sports Management. She was involved in multiple leadership roles, serving as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (Spring 2024), a Residential Advisor (2023-2024), and Public Relations Officer for the International Student Association (2022-2023). A member of the Women’s Golf Team from 2020 to 2024, she was named MVP for the 2022-2023 season and was on the Dean’s List (2020-2024).
At Indiana Golf, Nyah supports the Director of Player Development with programs and events and assists with IGA, PGA, and Junior tournaments. She helps with Drive, Chip, and Putt Qualifiers, PGA HOPE programming, and PGA Junior League operations. She is also involved in the PGA Annual Meeting, PGA Teaching Summit, and the Spring and Fall Tournament Series.
Her work focuses on tournament operations, player development, and supporting golf initiatives.

Q: How did you get involved in golf?
A: My father introduced me to golf when I was around 12 years old. He did so in a memorable way, telling my sister and I to hop into the car without revealing our destination. We ended up at a driving range, and from that moment on, golf became a significant part of my life.
Q: Tell me about how you learned about the PGA Works Program.
A: I became acquainted with the PGA WORKS program through my participation in their Collegiate Championship event, which I had the privilege of competing in three times during my time at university. This event was something I eagerly anticipated each year, largely due to the exceptional and prestigious experience the PGA WORKS team created.
Q: What unique opportunities has being a PGA Works Fellow allowed you to experience?
A: Being a PGA WORKS Fellow has provided me with a different perspective on the golf industry. It has introduced me to a variety of career paths within the industry and offered valuable opportunities to refine my skills while gaining insight into what I enjoy and areas I wish to explore further.
Q: What has been your favorite part of being a part of the Indiana Golf Staff?
A: One of my favorite aspects of being a part of the Indiana Golf staff is the welcoming nature of the team, along with their constant support and guidance which has helped me grow both personally and professionally. Additionally, I greatly appreciate the collective passion and drive shared by the staff to grow the game of golf.
Q: Tell me about your future career goals and how this experience of working in Indiana with the PGA Works Fellowship has played a role in your future plans.
A: My future career goals involve continuously learning and advancing within the golf industry while striving to create enjoyable experiences for participants. Serving as a PGA WORKS Fellow for the Indiana Section has had a significant impact on my future plans, as it has deepened my passion for the game and provided clarity on the goals I aim to achieve.
