Potter Joins Golf Office Staff

Granger, Indiana native Julia Potter will be joining the
Indiana Golf Office staff as the Director of Marketing and Women’s Golf. Potter
will take over her new responsibilities on February 12.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Potter has
recently worked at Anthony Travel in Dallas, Texas as a sports event
coordinator.

“Julia has a tremendous knowledge of the golf industry”,
said Indiana Golf Office Executive Director, Mike David. “She will be a
valuable addition to our staff.”

Potter achieved All State status all four years of her high
school career while playing for the Penn High School team. Her high school golf
team were three-time state champions. She was one of the first participants to
go through all three levels of the Indiana Junior Golf Tour and achieved female
player of the year status at all three levels.

At the University of Missouri her playing successes
continued as she was named to the All Big 12 Team in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She
continues to hold a number of Mizzou scoring records. She captured the 2007 and
2008 Indiana Women’s Golf Association State Amateur Championship and was the
IWGA Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009. Her crowning achievement was her
victory in the 2013 USGA Women’s Mid Amateur Championship.

Her responsibilities at the Golf Office will include
enhancing the IGA-PGA Membership Program, implementing the new Drive, Chip and
Putt Program that is being supported by the PGA of America, the USGA and the
Augusta National Foundation and administering the Indiana Women’s Golf
Association Tournament Schedule.
