Indianapolis’ Zach Elliot Headed to The First Tee Outstanding Participant Summit

17 year-old Zach Elliott of Indianapolis, Ind. will be attending The First Tee Outstanding Participant Summit this upcoming March in Dallas, Tex. After applying for this nationally recognized program, he was selected to attend the Summit along with 27 other participants from around the United States.
 
Elliot has been a participant of The First Tee since 2010 and has also attended the Gongaware Junior Academy summer camps in Franklin, Ind.  As well as dedicating his time to golf, Elliot also excels academically, is a member of his school’s pep band, is on the yearbook committee, and leads lighting crews for school musicals and dramas.  He is also a volunteer for the Indiana Special Olympics.
 
While in Dallas,  Elliot will be working on a service project for his Program Location, Greater Indianapolis, and attend seminars led by Annika Sorenstam, James Patterson, and the CEO of The First Tee, James Barrows, Jr. 
 
“I am excited to go and meet new people,” Elliot said.  “I am also excited to learn and do new things outside of my comfort zone that will help me grow and give back to First Tee and my community.”
