After making a quadruple bogey on his 36th hole
yesterday, John Dalcorobbo headed to the final day of the Indiana PGA
Professional Championship four shots out of the lead, but did not let the
deficit affect him. Posting a tremendous
5-under-par, 67 today at Prairie View GC, Dalcorobbo surpassed the field for
his fourth Professional Championship victory.

“Even though I made 8 on the last hole yesterday, I came
home last night and told my wife and kids that I played great and still felt like I
had a chance to win,” said Dalcorobbo of Brickyard Crossing GC. “I didn’t let one bad hole take away from 35
holes of solid play and I stepped up to the first tee today with confidence.”

Dalcorobbo came out of the gate hot this morning, birdying
his first hole of the day. He made the
turn at 5-under-par for the tournament and never looked back. After hitting his approach shot to two feet
on 17 and converting his putt, Dalcorobbo walked away with a three shot
victory over Ivan Foster of Bridgewater GC.

“Any time you can win in this Section, it feels great,”
Dalcorobbo said. “It seems like certain
years, everything comes together and I start playing well. I’m so happy to have peaked at the right time
this season.”

Earlier this year, Dalcorobbo changed jobs, now working as
the Assistant Golf Professional at Brickyard Crossing and also switched
equipment, now using Taylormade.

“It all took some getting used to, but I embraced the
changes,” Dalcorobbo said. “I feel like
my life is very balanced right now and that is when I am able to play some of
my best golf. I look forward to
participating in the Professional National Championship and I hope to make the
cut.”

This is Dalcorobbo’s fourth Indiana PGA Professional Championship
victory in the past seven years, and fifteenth time qualifying for the
Professional National Championship (PNC).
Four other players will join Dalcorobbo at the 48th PGA
Professional National Championship (PNC) which will be held June 28 – July 1,
2015 at Philadelphia Cricket Club including Ivan Foster (Bridgewater GC), David
Carich (Harbour Trees GC), Brian Brodell (Wood Wind GC), and Mike O’Tool
(Riverside Golf Academy).
